Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9, 1976, in Beaumont Puy in Domme. From a very young age, her dentist doctors parents and teacher mom supported her love of theater and drama. The passion for theater was the one that trumps her first desire to be the first primatologist. There was an immediate rise for her to be an internationally renowned young actress. After completing her studies and acting, she appeared on the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers that was sponsored by Canal+. She won the award for the best young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors in the year 2000. She then began a career as an actress. Tautou was born into an Catholic home and went to religious services, despite having attended school in school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She has pursued a modeling career in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she created a show in the Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity in addition to fame. It also features portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic rise in stardom after Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international popularity and success exploded following her appearance as Amelie Poulain's leading actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie is an international box office success and praised at many award shows around the world. It's the highest-grossing French film made in America. In the wake of this achievement, Tautou was featured in a wide range of films from British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
